TELUS International closes 2015 with more than $268,000 in social investment
During 2015, TELUS International invested USD $268.550 in social programs in El Salvador to help educational institutions, communities and organizations that are working to build a better country.
December 2015 alone, TELUS International benefited six new NGOs with funds allocated by its Community Board twice annually, to finance the implementation of projects that focus on art and culture, education and sports, health and the environment.
This initiative is part of TELUS International’s “we give where we live” philosophy and seeks to positively impact the greatest number of organizations addressing social causes. The 2015 program benefitted a total of 485 women, children and youth in communities of San Martín, San Marcos, San Salvador and La Unión. These projects were subject to the Community Board’s evaluation in August 2015, when the organizations began a selection process in order to obtain financing that would allow them to start their social project.
